Our Roots
OleaMurgia Frantoio Sociale was born from Oleificio Sociale of Cassano delle Murge, a bastion of professionalism and dedication founded in 1959. A reality rooted in the heart of the Alta Murgia National Park, which has represented a point of reference in the production of quality extra virgin olive oil for over half a century.
OleaMurgia Frantoio Sociale is a mix of tradition and innovation: the centuries-old practices of olive growing are combined with cutting-edge technologies. Today the oil mill extends over 3000 m2, a symbol of continuous evolution.
The indissoluble bond with our land and our history is what allows us to produce an oil that is a true story of taste, tradition and passion.
Our mission is to reconcile quality and sustainability in every drop of our extra virgin olive oil. We produce 450 tons per year, of which 40% is certified organic and a further 10% meets the high D.O.P. standards. and I.G.P. Our vision is projected towards a future where the short supply chain guarantees the freshness and authenticity of the product and enhances the cultivars of the Apulian territory such as Coratina, Leccino and Ogliarola. With over 130,000 olive trees grown by our associates, we aspire to preserve the richness of flavor and nutritional values through cold extraction, making our oil an emblem of tradition.
